All Together - Anti Bullying
GREAT NEWS! We are very pleased and proud to announce that Berry Hill Primary School has been named as a GOLD standard All Together school for the second time by the Anti-Bullying Alliance. This means that the work that we do in school with the children and the measures that we put in place to work against bullying and to improve our children's well-being have been recognised as excellent. We are proud to be a school that is United Against Bullying 🙂
Working Together To Keep Everybody Happy
At Berry Hill Primary School we take great pride in ensuring children feel safe and happy. To enable this to happen we have lots of policies and procedures in place. One of the ways we keep children safe is through teaching children about bullying and the effects it can have.
The Anti-Bullying Alliance defines bullying as…
The repetitive, intentional hurting of one person or group by another person or group, where the relationship involves an imbalance of power. Bullying can be physical, verbal or psychological. It can happen face-to-face or online.
As a school, we always encourage children to tell an adult if they have any concerns about bullying. If they do not feel they can tell someone they can write a worry down and use our worry boxes, or use our electronic worry box form. Every classroom has their own worry box. Additionally, we also have a central worry box located in the main entrance.
If you feel you need to report an incident of bullying, please call the school office urgently. A member of SLT will then complete an alleged bullying report form. An example of this form is at the bottom of this page.
